DPR is delighted to share that Ealing’s planning committee has unanimously resolved to grant planning permission for the latest phase of Barratt London and Places for London’s Bollo Lane development. This marks a significant milestone for the project, which is set to deliver much-needed housing while enhancing the public realm in this well-connected part of West London.
The approved scheme will introduce a series of well-designed residential buildings ranging from 8 to 18 stories, making a substantial contribution to local housing supply. Designed with a strong focus on sustainability and accessibility, the development prioritises public transport and active travel, seamlessly integrating with the area’s existing transport infrastructure. The scheme also celebrates Bollo Lane’s rich industrial heritage, maintaining a strong sense of place while embracing modern urban living.
Beyond providing new homes, the development will bring extensive public realm improvements to the area. These enhancements include new green spaces and play areas designed to foster community interaction and improve residents’ well-being. Key upgrades such as widened pavements, improved pedestrian routes, and an enhanced Bollo Lane will create a safer and more inviting environment for pedestrians and cyclists alike.
Daylight and sunlight considerations were integral to the design process from the outset. The DPR team worked closely with Allies and Morrison to ensure that future residents benefit from high-quality natural light while respecting the site’s constraints. Through careful analysis and collaboration, we helped shape a development that strikes the right balance between delivering much-needed homes and maintaining good levels of daylight and sunlight across the scheme.
This approval represents a significant step forward in the regeneration of Bollo Lane and reinforces Ealing’s commitment to sustainable urban development. We are proud to have played a role in shaping this ambitious scheme, which will bring lasting benefits to the local community.
A fantastic achievement for all involved, and we look forward to seeing this exciting project come to life!
