DPR is proud to have supported Team V3nture in their incredible journey to conquer the world’s toughest row.
Rob Cross, Charlie Newman, and Robert Treasure are three soldiers, three friends, and a team driven by a passion for pushing their limits while making a real difference. Every challenge they take on is not just about endurance; it’s about raising awareness and funds for vital charities.
Their Latest Feat? The World’s Toughest Row!
Starting in La Gomera, the trio embarked on a gruelling, unsupported row across the Atlantic Ocean to Antigua—40 days, 17 hours, and 40 minutes of sheer determination, grit, and perseverance. Row, sleep, repeat until the finish line. And their efforts paid off:
This journey was about more than just the challenge—it was about making a difference. Team V3nture is raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, a cause close to their hearts following Rob’s father’s passing from cancer in 2021. They are also supporting:
These organisations provide essential support to those who need it most.
As of 30th January 2025, Team V3nture has raised an incredible £97,811—a sum that will have a profound impact. But their mission is not over yet! Their JustGiving page is still open for donations. Every contribution counts.

To honour Team V3nture’s effort, DPR took on a challenge of our own—matching them mile for a mile! Our colleagues found their own ways to rack up the distance, showing support in every stride, stroke and step.
Our tracking methods combined the automated convenience of Strava with manual Excel entries, ensuring we captured all activities, whether tech-enabled or not. The variety of activities – from cycling and commuting to football, rowing, golf, and walking – shows how each person found their own sustainable way to stay active.
Tim Grierson focused on cycling (both leisure and commuting) and walking. Sylvannah Winstone split her time between football and occasional cycling, including commuting. Chris Harris dedicated most of his effort to cycling via Zwift.
Jon Caltieri concentrated on running, while Conor Healy explored on foot, combining sightseeing with walking miles. Aleksandra Vugdragovic maintained consistent cycling through both dedicated rides and commuting. Mark Feighery chose indoor rowing as his pain cave, while Shirley Waldron accumulated miles through hiking and walking.
Stuart Gray mixed golf with cycling, and Kacper Benicewicz contributed through running.
Thanks to all who participated and donated! And, of course, well done to Team V3nture!
