Seminar roundup: Development issues – Up, Under and Out

Seminar roundup: Development issues – Up, Under and Out | News & Insights | DPR

At the seminar ‘Development issues: Up, Under and Out’ this week, Delva Patman Redler’s partners Alistair Redler and Rob French presented their expert guidance on rights to light and neighbourly matters and how these come into play in the real estate development process.

Along with Ashford’s Associate Alison Oates, the seminar covered the legal implications of failing to be aware of these important issues.

To the audience of developers, local authorities and others involved in the world of property, Rob French presented his views, case studies and advice on ensuring efficiency in Neighbourly Matters practice, covering party wall matters, access to neighbouring land and boundary disputes, including the impact of basement development.

Alistair covered rights of light in the development process, determining a right to light, certainties on being able to build, financial exposure and maximising value.

Thanks to Ashfords for hosting! If you would like to learn more about these issues, please contact the Delva Patman Redler team.
