RICS Party Walls & Boundaries Essential Update roadshow

RICS Party Walls & Boundaries Essential Update roadshow | News & Insights | DPR

Delva Patman, Alistair Redler, Delwyn Jones and Suzanne Leo are among the panel of experts speaking at the RICS Party Walls & Boundaries Essential Update roadshow taking place in Bristol, London, Birmingham, Newcastle, Leeds and Newmarket in November.

Party wall agreements, boundary disputes and rights to light are a complex area of work in which surveyors have a responsibility to provide expert technical guidance, whilst also being aware of the potential legal pitfalls. Remaining up to date on the latest guidance and case law is essential in order to best advise your clients on neighbourly matters.

RICS Party Walls and Boundaries Essential Update will ensure you remain at the forefront of this practice area and are working to the highest professional standards, by providing a series of half day seminars in seven locations across the UK.

The 7th Edition of the RICS Party Wall Legislation and Procedure Guidance Note was introduced at last year’s event. This year includes the revisions post-consultation, along with a complimentary printed copy of the guidance note for you to take with.

An upcoming guidance note on Boundaries is in the works, so attend to hear what changes are afoot. The latest case law and common issues faced in Boundaries will also be discussed. Rights to Light is included in this year’s agenda, providing both the legal and surveying perspectives on the latest case law.

This year introduces a session on RICS regulation update on conduct and behaviours, which is essential in remaining compliant and avoiding sanctions, particularly when dealing with difficult people or negotiations.

Delegates will benefit from the expert insight of leading practitioners offering key advice and case law updates on a range of issues pertinent to this area of surveying practice and take away in-depth technical knowledge crucial for boundary, party wall and rights to light surveyors.
