About the project

The tallest building in the City of London upon its completion at 230 metres, Heron Tower remains one of the most recognised fixtures of the capital’s financial district and skyline.

Developed by Heron International, it set a new standard for flexible commercial space arranged around a series of office ‘villages’, with a triple-height atrium at the centre of each.

The offering has been further enriched with the addition of quality public space, restaurants and cafes, and retail.

DPR was instructed to act on light advisory, including rights of light, daylight, sunlight and shadowing. Due to its prominent city centre position and unique features, this important scheme required a meticulous approach and intricate measurements to maximise its potential.

The development completed in 2011.
