The Full Circle Podcast: Shirley Waldron

In Episode 5 of The Full Circle Podcast, Delva Patman Redler’s Shirley Waldron speak with James Owen Jones about moving from Architecture to Surveying.

Shirley Waldron B(Arch) Hons Dip. Arch RIBA is a salaried Partner at Delva Patman Redler, having joined the firm in 2014. Shirley qualified as a Chartered Architect in 1998, and has worked for epr Architects, Scott Brownrigg (and Turner), Imperial College Estates and others besides.

She has project management experience and worked for three years as a Building Control Officer for the London Borough of Wandsworth. From May 2010 onwards she provided strategic advice to Crossrail on their party wall obligations and managed said matters at the Crossrail, Bond Street, Eastern Ticket Hall at 18-19 Hanover Square. The adjoining property, a Grade II* listed property was protected by a pre-Crossrail Act undertaking.

Shirley’s advice to Crossrail, in order to discharge their duties under the deed was to re-apply all rights under the Party Wall Act. Shirley ran her own Architects’ practice from 2000 to 2016. She has more than 10 years’ experience as a party wall surveyor having delivered awards for the Shard of Glass and Cannon Place and many more developments besides.

Shirley is an active member of the Pyramus and Thisbe Club, being the current National Club Chair and a member of the Whispers publication editorial committee.
