Camley Street Kings Cross Opportunity Area

Sector:
Mixed-use

About the project

Camley Street is a major mixed-use regeneration scheme in Camden’s King’s Cross Opportunity Area, delivering new homes, employment space, public realm and a significant science and innovation building within London’s Knowledge Quarter, alongside a landmark tower set to become the tallest building in the borough.

DPR provided specialist daylight and sunlight consultancy services for the Camley Street regeneration scheme within the King’s Cross Opportunity Area in the London Borough of Camden.

The proposals comprise a major mixed-use redevelopment delivering new homes, employment space and public realm, alongside a significant science and innovation building led by Lateral, reinforcing the area’s role within the Knowledge Quarter. The scheme also includes a tower element that will become the tallest building in Camden.

DPR led the daylight and sunlight, overshadowing, solar glare and light intrusion assessments for the scheme, alongside preparation of the relevant Environmental Statement chapter.

Working closely with Ballymore, Lateral and the wider consultant team, DPR supported the design development process through detailed technical analysis to help inform the evolving massing and fa?ade design within this sensitive urban context.
