Ballymore’s Thames Road development

Location:
London
Sector:
Mixed-use

About the project

DPR was appointed by Ballymore to lead the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) technical work relating to daylight, sunlight, overshadowing and solar glare for the Thames Road development on the north bank of the River Thames.

Designed by Howells, the mixed-use scheme forms part of the wider regeneration of the Royal Docks, delivering a significant number of new homes alongside education facilities, employment space and high-quality public realm.

DPR undertook detailed quantitative assessments to support the EIA process, working closely with the design team to inform scheme development and address environmental effects on surrounding receptors. Planning permission was granted by the London Borough of Newham, representing a strong planning outcome and contributing to the continued regeneration of east London, building on nearby developments such as Royal Wharf.
